Good morning Weller Families, 

I am so excited to see you all in less than a week. I am resending last week's newsletter as a reminder of some important information and opportunities.

Principal’s Message

Welcome to a new school year Weller Families!

I hope that you all had a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing you all soon! As some of you know, last year I got married, so I will be going by a new name this year... But it is still me! :) I can now introduce myself as Mrs. Elzey.

I would like to extend a thank you to all of you for your patience. We are still short staffed in our office and are returning calls and emails as soon as we can. Our office will officially open from 7:30am to 3:00pm starting on August 1st.

We are continuing to update our website in preparation for the new school year. Our website is a great resource for all families and community members.

It is going to be an amazing school year and I have included information below to help you prepare for August 10th, our first day of school.

I have missed you this summer and I look forward to Weller coming alive again with our incredible students!

PREPARING FOR OUR RETURN TO SCHOOL

SAFETY GUIDELINES

To ensure a safe, smooth return to our campus, myself and our team will be distributing free home antigen testing kits on AUGUST 9th from 2:00- 3:00pm. Please join us at our Welcome Back Event to receive your free take-home COVID test. We encourage all students and staff to take a test prior to the first day of school on Wednesday, August 10th. All tests must be registered with Primary Health. If your child tests positive or is experiencing any COVID symptoms, please keep them at home and contact our school office at (408) 635-2876. Vaccination, masking and testing recommendations in combination with frequent symptom-checking and servicing of high quality air ventilation systems remain key mitigation measures in maintaining safe school environments. Thank you for your continued partnership.

DAILY SCHEDULE 2022-2023
ANNUAL REGISTRATION / STUDENT EMERGENCY CARDS
It is that time of year again, where you will need to fill out your annual registration on the Aeries Parent Portal for your child. It's quick and easy - directions are HERE. You can begin filling out the registration starting on August 1st, after 8:00am. By completing the registration, you will be able to access your child's information, view report cards, and much more throughout the school year. We will also be able to generate a vital student information card in case of an emergency. We appreciate your attention to this matter! Also, by completing the registration in Aeries, you will have full access to our Weller Welcome Back Event! 




NEW UNIFORM POLICY

Thank you to all of the families that completed our community survey last year. The vast majority of you voted to keep uniforms, but to expand on the options. Please view our uniform policy, created based on feedback from staff, families, and students! Kohl's, Target, Walmart, Old Navy, and Costco usually start school uniform sales in July and August

 

UPCOMING EVENTS


WELLER'S WELCOME BACK EVENT!!

We are having a special event for families on August 9th from 2:00-3:00pm. Please join us to pick up your COVID take-home test, see who your child's teacher will be, join PTA, take selfies with myself and Mr. Iscan, and so much more!! We look forward to connecting and kicking off this school year in celebration!

August 9:Welcome Back Event 2:00- 3:00pm (complete your annual registration ahead of time and have more time to enjoy the fun!)
August 10: First Day of School! We start at 8:00am.
