Principal’s Message

Hello Weller Families!


We would like to thank everyone for a wonderful first week of school. It was a joy to see our students again and they have all transitioned beautifully from their summer break. We look forward to our first full week of school and we will be following our regulary day schedule. ONLY kindergartners will have minimum days next week.

If your child tests positive or is experiencing any COVID symptoms, please keep them at home and contact our school office at (408) 635-2876. Vaccination, masking and testing recommendations in combination with frequent symptom-checking and servicing of high quality air ventilation systems remain key mitigation measures in maintaining safe school environments. Thank you for your continued partnership.
WELLER'S WEEK AHEAD

ARRIVAL and DISMISSAL REMINDERS

If you drive your student to (and/or drive to pick them up from) school,  please remember to:
Keep our Drive-Throughs flowing
  • Pull all the way forward in Drive-Throughs (no gaps, please) - NO PARKING
  • Please loop around or park in designated spaces when waiting
Park and wait in designated spaces or in the neighborhood. 
  • Not in Drive-Throughs or Red Zones
Remain in your vehicle when in Drive-Through.
Follow our Teachers' Lead when they are helping to keep things flowing in our Drive-Throughs.

Thank you for helping our Drop-Off and Pick-Up areas to be safe and flowing.

BACKPACK DONATIONS 
Weller is fortuante to be partnering with the Family Giving Tree again this year. The Family Giving Tree will be providing Weller Elementary School with backpacks! Each year, the Family Giving Tree tries to provide backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies to as many children as possible. If your child would benefit from receiving a backpack with some supplies, please fill out this form: Weller & The Family Giving Tree Backpack Donation Sign-up.

We are limited to 90 backpacks at this time. You will receive a confirmation email from me, notifying you that you are one of the first 90 families to respond. I am picking up all the backpacks on Tuesday, August 16th. We will be distributing the backpacks to students after school on Thursday, August 18th at 2:15pm by the front office.

COVID CLINIC at WELLER
Covid Clinic - free, community COVID testing for staff and community
ANNUAL REGISTRATION / STUDENT EMERGENCY CARDS
Please complete your child's annual registration, if you have not done so already. It's quick and easy - directions are HERE. By completing the registration, you will be able to access your child's information, view report cards, and much more throughout the school year. We will also be able to generate a vital student information card in case of an emergency. We appreciate your attention to this matter! 

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

JOIN PTA!! 

Membership costs only $20. (Free dress pass will be given to students when the family signs up!)
Loaves & Fishes Food Distribution
Loaves & Fishes will continue to provide meals EVERY Friday, even on holidays and non-school days, from 2:15- 3:15pm. A refrigerated truck will be stationed by the front of the school by the office.
